Can I pick up the vehicle if I don't have personal auto insurance? ▾
Yes — that's exactly what the Bonzah purchase option is for. During Step 4 of booking, select "Purchase Coverage" and choose your desired combination of coverages. CDW ($21.95/day) is required for all Bonzah purchases and covers collision damage to the vehicle. You can add liability, personal accident, and supplemental protection from there. All policies are purchased automatically at confirmation — no separate account needed.
What happens if I return the vehicle late? ▾
Returns up to 2 hours late are accommodated as a courtesy when coordinated in advance via text. Returns more than 2 hours past your scheduled return time without prior communication are charged at $15/hour up to a full additional day rate. If you know you'll be late, contact us immediately — we'll work with you. Uncommunicated late returns affect the next guest's booking and will be charged accordingly.
How does the mileage limit work and what if I go over? ▾
Standard vehicles include 200 miles per day. The Escalade and Tesla Model X include 100 miles per day. Overage is charged at $0.75/mile (standard) or $1.50/mile (Escalade/Model X) and deducted from your security deposit or charged to your card with an itemized receipt after return. If you anticipate driving more than the included miles, add the Unlimited Mileage add-on ($100/day) during booking — it removes the limit entirely.
Can I extend my rental while I have the vehicle? ▾
Extensions are possible subject to vehicle availability. Contact us at least 4 hours before your scheduled return time to request an extension. If the vehicle is not booked by another guest, we can extend at the standard daily rate (plus any applicable weekend surcharge). Extensions are confirmed via text and billed to your card on file. Same-day extension requests are not guaranteed but we do our best to accommodate.
Is the $100 security deposit always required? ▾
Yes — the $100 hold is required for all bookings, regardless of rental duration or vehicle. It is a temporary authorization hold on your card, not a charge. Your bank may show it as a pending transaction. The hold is released within 48 hours of your return time, provided no deductions apply. If you have questions about a specific deduction made from your deposit, contact us directly at support@driveonhtx.com within 72 hours of return.
How much does it cost to rent a car at DriveonHTX? ▾
DriveonHTX vehicles start at $50/day for the 2018 Toyota Camry and go up to $150/day for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade Sport. All rates include a daily mileage allowance, taxes, and a $5 processing fee. No airport surcharges or hidden fees. See full pricing at

Are there any hidden fees at DriveonHTX? ▾
No. DriveonHTX charges three things: the base daily rate, 9.5% taxes and licensing, and a $5 processing fee. There are no airport concession fees, facility charges, or mandatory add-ons. The price shown at booking is the price you pay.
Is there a weekend surcharge? ▾
Yes. A $10/day surcharge applies on Fridays and Saturdays. This is calculated automatically during booking based on which days fall on Friday or Saturday.
What is the under-25 surcharge? ▾
Renters between ages 21-24 are subject to a 30% surcharge on the daily base rate. Minimum rental age is 21. Renters 25 and older pay the standard rate with no additional fee.

Which vehicle is best for a large group? ▾
For groups of 7-8 passengers the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe ($100/day), 2023 Ford Expedition ($95/day), or 2023 Hyundai Palisade ($80/day) are the best options. All three seat 8 passengers comfortably with room for luggage.

We recommend booking at least 48-72 hours in advance to ensure your preferred vehicle is available. During peak periods like the World Cup, summer, and holiday weekends, booking 1-2 weeks ahead is strongly recommended.
What payment methods does DriveonHTX accept? ▾
DriveonHTX accepts all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App Pay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.
Can I cancel my reservation? ▾
