What is an authorization hold? The $100 deposit is not a charge — it temporarily reduces your available card balance while your vehicle is out. No funds are transferred. After you return the vehicle and it passes inspection, the hold is released within 48 hours and your full balance is restored. Your bank may take an additional 3–5 business days to reflect the release.
When can the deposit be used? Only if deductions apply — fuel shortfall, toll charges, late fees, or unreported damage. If any amount is deducted, you'll receive an itemized receipt and have 24 hours to dispute any charge at support@driveonhtx.com.
